Firefighters were busy Tuesday as heavy storms rolled through the area causing extensive damage. The National Weather Service placed the area on flood watch at 9:30 a.m. and issued a flash flood warning at 12:30 p.m. The agency also issued a tornado warning around 11:30 a.m., and reported a tornado northwest of Treloar around 11:34 a.m. The Missourian weather gauge recorded 3.65 inches of rain during Tuesday’s downpour.
