Kansas State added to the offensive line on Thursday morning when they landed Brock Heath from Blue Valley Northwest. He is ranked as a four-star per On3 and joins Will Kemna as guys that will be in the room led by K-State offensive coordinator Conor Riley.

Heath had an excellent offer sheet that also consisted of Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Missouri, Arkansas, Minnesota, Duke, Iowa State, Baylor, Illinois and Utah. Clearly, he was appealing to the Big Ten.

But it’s the Big 12 where he’ll play.

Heath’s official visit to Kansas State was the same as new linebacker commit Maguire Richman of Blue Valley. The two are very close friends in the Johnson County sector of the Kansas City metro. Richman also picked the Wildcats over the Hawkeyes.

In addition to K-State and Iowa, Heath also heavily considered Northwestern.

He gives Kansas State their third in-state prospect as well and the highest-ranked one yet. Both Derby High cornerback Martel Jackson and Richman from Blue Valley already chose the Wildcats. They are still awaiting decisions from four-star lineman Keiton Jones and five-star tight end Linkon Cure.

Jones is trending towards Missouri, however, while the prediction percentages heavily favor K-State for Cure.

It will not end the Kansas State pursuit of other offensive linemen. In addition to Jones, others in their line of sight include three-star Nelson McGuire of Midlothian, Texas (also considering Texas Tech) and three-star Andrew Williams of Kirksville, Missouri (also considering BYU, Iowa State and Kansas.

Heath becomes the highest-ranked commit of the class, though Richman, Jackson and JoJo Scott remain unranked.
