MAPLEWOOD, NJ __ The pending simple assault charge against Frank Sanchez will move to Maplewood Municipal Court, weeks after an Essex County grand jury declined to indict the former Columbia High School principal on a more serious felony charge.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s office made the announcement about the sole charge Sanchez faces – a misdemeanor – via press release on Tuesday night.

Earlier this month, the prosecutor’s office announced that the grand jury declined to indict Sanchez on a charge of second degree endangering the welfare of a child.
