MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A ballot measure discussion in Marina is surfacing again around more city facilities, including a new fire station, according to the most recent city council meeting.

The council approved a motion, saying that construction of a new fire and police station as well as a community center that includes city council chambers, community and recreation rooms, could cost a total of approximately $55 million.

A breakdown of that number delegates at least $16 million to fire resources, at least $17.5 million to police services and at least $21.5 million for a community center.

The council said that they're going to finalize the language of the bond measure during their meeting on August 7.

In the meeting, council member Delgado voted "no" on this option because he doesn't think it'll pass.
