MARINE — The Marine Village Board met early on July 3 at 4 pm in recognition of the July 4th holiday. During public comment, Lynn Scherer said the bat house for the lake is ready to be installed on a pole made from an oak tree that died in the Lake Park. John Molitor informed the board that the stop signs and poles need to be replaced at Marion and Nebraska Streets due to being faded. Mayor Kelly Tracy reminds residents that when approaching an intersection with no stop signs, it is a yield in all directions.

SmashHouse, a premier pickleball tournament facility, is coming to the southeast corner of the new 95-acre Park North commercial development located at the Interstate 55 and IL-143 interchange.
