Human-computer interactions: SLU's new eye-tracking research lab is on the case
Saint Louis University is revolutionizing our understanding of the role computers play in our lives. The esteemed institution announced in April 2024 the launch of its new state-of-the-art computer lab at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business to analyze how people interact with computers. Dubbed The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Lab, research at the facility will be used to enhance user experiences across the internet.

ST. LOUIS – National Mac and Cheese Day is on July 14th and Doggie Mac’s is getting ready to celebrate. Doggie Mac’s food truck began with an 80-year-old mac and cheese recipe from Chef B’s grandma. Webster University announces new chancellor
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Tim Keane has been named the next chancellor of Webster University. Keane, 65, a St. Louis native, will start in the role on Aug. 1. “I am looking forward to returning to St. Louis and working with the outstanding faculty and staff at Webster as we continue to strengthen Webster’s financial well-being, growing our domestic and international enrollment, and finding new ways to meet the needs of the students,” Keane said. “I am so impressed by what is in place at Webster now and the highest priority for me is to learn more from all of those in the global Webster community. I’m excited to hear their ideas on how we build on the wonderful foundation at Webster and accelerate the current trajectory of enrollment growth the Webster team has recently achieved.”

Midwest Center for AIDS Research to Open in September
The St. Louis-based center will serve as a base where researchers and public health experts can fight the HIV epidemic together. A new HIV research center is coming to St. Louis, thanks to a collaboration between researchers from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Saint Louis University. The Midwest Developmental Center for AIDS Research will open in September with funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), making it the 20th Center for AIDS Research site in the United States, according to a Eureka Alert! news release published last week.
