STL Fest 2024 set for Sunday
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Family-friendly STL Fest 2024 will kick off at noon on Sunday with many fun activities. The event will open with a block party from noon until 5 p.m. at The Big Top at 3401 Washington Avenue. The party will feature games, live performances, food and vendors and more.
Construction to start later this year on $14M trail connecting CityPark to Midtown
ST. LOUIS — Construction is expected to begin later this year on a stretch of the Brickline Greenway that connects with St. Louis City SC’s CityPark stadium. The project includes a new 0.85-mile trail along Market Street from Compton Avenue and 22nd Street, connecting CityPark and Harris-Stowe State University. The path’s construction could begin in September, said Susan Trautman, CEO of regional trail district Great Rivers Greenway.

St. Louis Fire Department responds to hundreds of calls on July 4
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Fire Department responded to over 600 calls between 8 a.m. July 4 and 8 a.m. July 5, according to the department. The fire department released statistics Friday afternoon of its responses for the past four years. In 2024, the department responded to a total of 630 calls, including 87 fires and 289 emergency medical responses.
Larry Morris named to new role with Kranzberg Arts Foundation
Larry Morris has been named the director of programs and partnerships for the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. Morris joined the foundation in May 2022 as the director of artist residency. During his tenure, he worked to elevate the Kranzberg Artist in Residency program, contributed as a committee and staff member to the growth of Music at the Intersection, and formed and maintained partnerships for the foundation in the St. Louis region.
