Massachusetts school systems are the best in the country, according to a new report. Enrolling a child in school is a major step for any family, so it’s important for parents to know how schools fare in their area. WalletHub has put together its list of the states with the best and worst school systems in 2024 by comparing all 50 states and Washington D.C. across 32 measures of quality and safety, such as pupil-teacher ratio, dropout rate, and median standardized-test scores. Milford Awaits Potential Boost in School Funding from State Budget
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford could potentially get more money for schools in the recently signed state budget. While it still has to be approved by the governor, Patch reports the $58 billion state budget includes an additional $2 million over last year’s budget for Milford’s education funding. According to Harvard’s website, “Harvard Heroes is an annual program held in the spring that recognizes and celebrates high-performing staff from across every School and the Central Administration. These staff members have been nominated and/or selected by their peers and departments for their leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and exceptional contributions.” This award is bestowed on just one-half of one percent of all Harvard staff. Avedian has served in the Central Administration of Harvard for the last 8 years as a Senior Safety Officer.
