Marshall Lions Club honored for ice rink donation

The Marshall Village Board honored the village's Lions Club for their recent donation of an ice rink to the Marshall Parks and Recreation Department on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Lions Club members Gregg Hanger and Duane Checky attended Tuesday's village board meeting to receive a plaque dedicated to the organization.

Village President Chris Campbell presented the award and spoke to the charitable act on behalf of the entire board:

"The ice rink will undoubtedly contribute to the enjoyment and well-being of individuals of all ages. Your contribution aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance the quality of life in the Village of Marshall, and we are grateful for your continued support.We also want to recognize the hard work and dedication of the Marshall Lions Club members in making this donation possible. Your organization's commitment to service and community development is evident, and we are fortunate to have partners like you who actively contribute to the betterment of our village."
