5 things to do this weekend, including a multisensory Mars concert and A.R.T.'s 'Romeo and Juliet'
I was never really a space kid. I get nauseous sometimes just waking up, and I vividly remember how horrific I felt getting off of the “Mission: SPACE” simulator ride at Epcot. However, I love a good concert and immersive art experience. The Museum of Science is bringing the sounds and vibes of space without the g-forces, spinning and tilting, so if that’s also more up your alley, head to Mars this Thursday, Aug. 29. If thinking about the vast expanses beyond our planet sends you into an existential crisis, there are plenty of other events happening in Greater Boston this Labor Day weekend that are more grounded and lighthearted.

'Play our best football yet': Behind its all-time rusher, Curry College eyes improvement
MILTON — There are pros and cons to fielding a young college football team. The learning curves can be steep initially, sure, but continuity builds and carries over year after year if the core remains intact. With 10 freshmen and sophomores back from last year's team, and just seven seniors projected to depart in this...
All in the Family: Landolfi brothers come home to lead Archbishop Williams football
BRAINTREE -- Mark and Chris Landolfi never played together on the Archbishop Williams High varsity football team because they were two years apart. The best Chris (Class of 1988) could do was serve as sophomore scout-team fodder for Mark's senior-season 1985 team that made it all the way to the Division 4 EMass Super Bowl, losing to Holliston. But the brothers did (ahem) run into each other in college. ...

Celtics sign guard Lonnie Walker IV
BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics have filled their final roster spot, reportedly signing guard Lonnie Walker IV on Wednesday night. Brad Stevens continues to cook in the front office for the defending champs, as Walker was arguably the best free agent left on the market. There's no guarantee Walker will make the team, as he's reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 contract -- a non-guaranteed deal that is essentially just a training camp invite. But getting a player like Walker to fill the 15th spot on the roster is an embarrassment of riches for the Celtics. The 25-year-old averaged 9.7 points over 58...

Red Sox's Brayan Bello: Dominates Jays on Wednesday
Bello (12-6) earned the win over Toronto on Wednesday, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over eight scoreless innings. Bello yielded only three baserunners and didn't allow any Blue Jay to reach third base. He had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 15 whiffs and recording nine punchouts -- his second-highest mark this season. Bello gave up five runs over 5.1 innings in his previous start against Arizona, but aside from that rough outing, he's been very good of late, picking up three quality starts of one or zero runs across his past four appearances. Going back to July 14, Bello has given up more than three runs in a start just once and has posted a 3.52 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 49:20 K:BB over 53.2 frames.
