    Here's where you can see fireworks, parades and events near Marshfield for the Fourth of July

    The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and there are no shortages of fireworks displays, musical performances, children's activities and even a few competitions and parades for those looking for ways to celebrate the holiday.

    Check out these events happening in the Marshfield area.

    Athens

    The Athens Lions Club will hold its annual Fourth of July Celebration July 3-4 at Memorial Park. Events on July 3 include Giant Jenga, a performance by Hyde from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and fireworks at dusk off High Street on the north side of the village. On July 4, there will be a chainsaw competition and bean bag tournament. There will also be children's activities, a bounce house, face painting, barrel train rides, food and refreshments, and more.

    Loyal

    Loyal's fireworks display is scheduled for dusk on July 3 at Westside Park, according to the city's Facebook page. The rain date is July 4.

    Marshfield

    Festival Foods will sponsor the annual fireworks show, orchestrated by Ace Pyro LLC of southern Michigan, at 10 p.m. July 4 at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, 513 E. 17th St., according to a news release from the city. If the event is canceled due to rain, it will be moved to 10 p.m. July 5.

    Medford

    The Medford Kiwanis Club will hold its weekly Kiwanis Music Series community event on July 4 at Medford City Park. The Community Band will play at 2 p.m. with Roger Pulliott at 7 p.m. in the bandshell. Fireworks by Big Daddy Party Resources will follow at dusk.

    Neillsville

    The Highground Veterans Memorial, W7031 Ridge Road in Neillsville, will hold their annual Freedom Celebration fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29

    Fireworks will be set off at dusk on July 4 at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 1121 E. Division St. in Neillsville.

    Pittsville

    The Pittsville American Legion and Pittsville Lions Club will hold their 62nd annual Fourth of July Celebration July 3-4 at Riverside Park in Pittsville. On July 3, the Heart and Sole Race, carnival and a performance by Rising Phoenix from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. will be held. Events on Thursday kick off with a kiddie parade at 11:30 p.m. and full parade at noon, followed by bingo, food booths, carnival rides from 1:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., music by Tuck Pence from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., music by Exit 145 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and fireworks about 9:45 p.m.
