ST. MARYS – A nine-run first inning for Martensdale-St. Marys was the undoing for the GMG baseball team as the Wolverines fell 13-5 to the Blue Devils on Thursday, June 27. GMG (6-16) struck for two runs in the game’s first half inning before the Blue Devils (20-7) answered in kind. Cooper Oberbroeckling was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the home team, which totaled 12 hits and collected 12 total walks from GMG pitchers.
