Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Yu Noodles, a local gem renowned for its authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant, though bustling, offers a cozy seating arrangement that maximizes space without feeling overcrowded. I started with the hot & sour noodles, which were tasty but needed an extra kick of chili sauce for my liking. The pork & chive dumplings were a highlight, featuring thin, delicate skins and a freshly made, flavorful filling. The duck was tender and slightly sweet, complementing the tangy golden cabbage perfectly.
Another standout was the soup dumplings, described by many as the best in town. Each dumpling was a delightful burst of rich broth and tender meat, encased in a beautifully steamed wrapper. The Yibin fried noodles were equally impressive, with a masterful blend of textures and flavors that had me craving more. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who made excellent menu recommendations.
