SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Snohomish County officials are warning parents and caregivers about the dangers of kids falling from windows, following a jump in emergency calls. South County Fire rushed a 4-year-old girl to Harborview Saturday after she fell through the screen of the third-story window of a townhome in Lynnwood and onto the concrete. This marks the 14th incident so far this year, and officials worry the county is expected to hit a record number of window falls in 2024. The county's typical average is eight reported window falls per year.
