FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) - Fairmont State University has received nearly $5,000 in grant money to fund earth system science programs at the school. FSU has received these funds from the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Program, which is an international science and education program focused on teaching and learning Earth System Science. The grant supports the Going Global in WV with Globe project, which is led by the Katherine Johnson NASA Independent Verification and Validation Education Resource Center (NASA IV&V ERC) in partnership with Fairmont State.

WVU CED launches autism support group for parents with children on evaluation waitlist
BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities (CED) is introducing a new initiative called Mind the Gap: Parent Education and Support Group. This program aims to provide guidance and assistance to families with children on the waitlist for autism evaluations or services. Parents with concerns about their child showing signs of autism spectrum disorder are also encouraged to join and gain insight.
