First Alert Forecast | Stubborn Wave Of Humidity Continues
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Overnight showers have slowly peeled away to the east, but the stuffy clouds and humidity remain slathered overhead, enough to spark a new shower at virtually any hour of the day. Nevertheless, our best rain-free times will be around until the heat of the day forces a few more showers and storms to sprout in the afternoon. Temperatures will still make a run to and through the 80s, and our warmest air may well end up in our Ohio counties where the best breaks for sunshine should occur. Whether partly cloudy or mostly cloudy though, any sunshine will make for quite a steamy feel at the county fairgrounds. Speaking of which, toward the end of the day (when the fair closes) we can see a new front drop into our US-50 zones (think the Vinton County fair) bringing scattered showers and storms from a new source. A downpour can be in the mix, but changes will slowly begin.
