LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Maumelle Animal Services will be hosting a Comfort a Shelter Pet event on the Fourth of July for the third year in a row. The shelter, located at 425 Cogdell Drive, will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for people to spend time comforting animals that may be scared of fireworks.

Swim beach at Beaverfork Lake Park closed due to high E. coli levels
CONWAY, Ark. — On Tuesday, the City of Conway announced that the public swim beach at Beaverfork Lake Park has been closed due to high levels of E.Coli in the area.
