LITTLE ROCK — Will McEntire ended an incredible run as a college baseball pitcher with a $12,250 donation to CARTI on July 1. For his final season, the Bryant native pledged $5 per strikeout to the nonprofit’s Patient Assistance Program, which provides comprehensive support services to reduce potential barriers to treatment.

Little Rock Swim & Dive Announces Sizeable Incoming Recruiting Class
LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock swimming and diving team has officially added 10 swimmers and two divers for the 2024-25 season, a huge boost to a talented team that has shown tremendous progress following head coach Nathan Townsend‘s first season and has begun to rebuild nicely under diving coach Chris Pape, who now has two years under his belt with the program.
Cody Livingston joins Arkansas State baseball staff for 2025 season
Arkansas State baseball head coach Mike Silva announced Wednesday the addition of veteran coach Cody Livingston to the Red Wolves’ staff. Livingston spent three years working with pitchers at Nicholls, playing a significant role during their conference championship runs in 2023 and 2024. Under his leadership, the Colonels’ pitching staff ranked inside the top-100 nationally in most statistical categories last season.
2024 FCS Top 25: No. 11 Central Arkansas Football Preview
Central Arkansas ranks No. 11 in HERO Sports’ FCS Preseason Top 25. The Bears finished 7-4 last fall and missed the FCS playoffs. Two of their losses were two-point games to UAC foes Tarleton State and Austin Peay. The other two were at North Dakota State (49-31) and Oklahoma State (27-13).
Valencia wins silver with Puerto Rico at NORCECA Continental Championship
TORONTO, Ontario, Canada — Little Rock freshman Dariana Valencia took home a silver medal Sunday as part of the Puerto Rico National Team that competed at the Women's NORCECA U21 Continental Championship from June 27-30. Puerto Rico finished as the runner-up to Team USA at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Center.
Former Central High basketball coach Brian Ross joins Colliers
Brian Ross, former Little Rock Central High School head basketball coach, joined Colliers | Arkansas in June as investor relations analyst. An Ozark native, Ross moved to Little Rock as a teenager and coached high school basketball for the past 18 years, first as an assistant coach at Rogers and Bentonville High Schools, then as head coach at Baptist Preparatory School.

The Little Rock Women's Golf team has proven all year that being a champion on the field of competition and excelling in the classroom go hand in hand for these Trojans. The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) acknowledged that again Monday with the release of its 2023-24 All-American Scholars, which included four members of the Ohio Valley Conference championship team.
Arkansas Ultrarunners at the Western States Endurance Run
This past weekend, three Arkansas ultrarunners participated in the Western States Endurance Run. Erich Washausen of Prairie Grove, Ashley Gramza of Little Rock, and Alex Staten of Fayetteville joined 372 other runners from around the world. In total, 288 runners completed the race. Washausen finished the course in under 28 hours and 54 minutes, while Staten crossed the finish line after the 30-hour cut-off. Unfortunately, Gramza dropped out at mile 78. Washausen and Gramza shared their reflections on the race and the supportive community that made their participation possible.
Hogan Windish Bestowed With TL Player of the Week Honor
Arkansas Travelers infielder Hogan Windish was named Texas League Player of the Week for June 24-30 it was announced today by Minor League Baseball. Windish hit .308/.357/.885 with four homers, three doubles and 11 runs batted in while playing in all six of his team’s games. He opened the week with a performance for the ages, blasting four home runs and driving in all nine of the Travs’ runs last Tuesday, June 25. It marked the first four homer game in Minor League Baseball in nearly two full years and was the only the second ever by a Travs player. For the week, Windish led the circuit in home runs and RBI and was second in slugging percentage.
