An Italian restaurant with roots throughout Middlesex County for about 50 years known for making food in-house has closed its Wilmington location. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Cucina LaRosa’s, effective today,” Cucina LaRosa’s wrote in a Facebook post Thursday. “After a decade of serving meals in Billerica and Wilmington, and reflecting on our roots in Winchester during the ‘70s, the time has come to say goodbye.”

A diverse group of artists and musicians took over a block of Pleasant Street on Saturday, June 22. Sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council, East Cambridge Savings Bank and The Gallery@57, Creative Malden offered the community a chance to enjoy an afternoon of merriment. Local artists Grace Julian Murthy, Beth Copp, Ginny Remedi Brown, Ella Bessmer and Sarah Morrison demonstrated their artful techniques while Gina De painted faces and Karyn Alzayer created henna designs on children and the young at heart. Westborough Nears Approval for New Dog Park at Lake Chauncy
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough is getting closer to having a new dog park. At their last meeting the Planning Board green lit a full site plan review for the park at Lake Chauncy and the Select Board and Conservation Commission have also said yes. The Community Advocate reports the next step is to ask for bids for the construction; the Recreation Department hopes to get the actual work started in the fall. Meanwhile they are working with animal control on developing policies for park use and behavior.
