McClure, Pa. — It took a Snyder County registered sex offender 68 days until he notified law enforcement that he moved.

Jason E. Delancey, 47, of McClure, was charged for failing to register his new address as required under the Megan's Law registry. Officer Scott Rood of Middleburg Police Department received the notification on June 28 that Delancey had moved and failed to update the address, according to the affidavit.

Rood found that Delancey had told a sergeant at Mifflin County Prison that he moved on April 29 to an address on North Zeller Street in McClure. Delancey is required to register new addresses with state police within three days, Rood noted in the affidavit.

Delancey was charged in 2016 in Juniata County with two separate corruption of minors charges. He was convicted on March 21, 2023 and added to the registry, according to the Megan's Law site.

District Judge Bo Trawitz set bail at $15,000. Delancey is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 29.
