    Summer fun is still heating up around the Puget Sound area this weekend!

    *Starting is the Taste of Edmonds the annual three-day event that pulls together the best that Edmonds and the surrounding communities have to offer in music, makers, food, and fun to throw the celebration of the summer. The event is: Fri. 2 - 10 pm | Sat. 12 - 10 pm | Sun. 12 - 8 pm at the Civic Center Playfield. Tickets are available for purchase online.

    *The Seattle Seahawks will NOT be playing their pre-season game at home this weekend, but it will be televised locally. The game is against the Los Angeles Chargers and starts at 4:10 pm on August 10.

    *Darrington will host the Re-Evolution Festival which offers music, camping, vendors, speakers, and workshops at Darrington Bluegrass Music Park, 42501 State Rte 530 NE in Darrington on August 8 - 11. No dogs.

    *The Morton Loggers Jubilee on August 8 - 11, which includes a queen’s coronation on Thursday, lawn mower races on Friday, bed races on Saturday at 11 am, a parade on Saturday at 11:30 am, a logging show on Saturday & Sunday, a flea market, music, and vendors in and near Morton Loggers’ Jubilee Arena, 451 Knittles Way in Morton.

    *You can road trip to Omak this weekend, August 8 - 11, for the Omank Stampede which includes a daily world-famous suicide horse race down a steep slope inspired by native endurance races, an Indian encampment & pow wow, a rodeo, an includes an art show, a carnival, and a parade on Saturday at 10 am at Omak Stampede Rodeo on Ferry St. in Omak.

    *Search in West Seattle businesses and outdoor locations for 100 glass floats “hidden on multiple, staggered days throughout two weeks” during the West Seattle Glass Float Scavenger Hunt. Free.

    *The International Sea Glass Festival is at the Seattle Center August 10-11, tickets can be purchased online.

    *The Titanic: The Exhibition in the Maritime Building, 906 Alaskan Way in Seattle. Your ticket includes a narrated audio guide. The exhibition runs through September 8 in Belltown, tickets can be purchased online.

    *The Seattle Mariners will play at home this weekend taking on the New York Mets starting Friday at T-Mobile Park. (August 8th is against the Detroit Tigers)

    *THING is an eclectic and intimate three-day festival of music and arts for all ages, with 30 acts of “music, comedy, visual arts, and speakers” plus vendors and a lantern parade each night at Remlinger Farms, 32610 NE 32nd St. in Carnation. Children age 12 and younger are free. (TICKETS ONLINE). August 9 - 11.

    *The Boeing Classic Golf Tournament is August 9 - 11 where professional golfers compete for a $2.2 million purse at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, 36005 SE Ridge St. in Snoqualmie. The opening ceremony is Friday at 11 am and includes a jet flyover at 11:15. Check out the schedule and more information online.

    *Hear Christian musicians perform at the Awakening Music Festival at the Seattle Center at Mural Amphitheater, 305 Harrison St. in Seattle on August 10th from 6 pm to 10 pm.

    *Beacon Arts Street Fair is a mellow event with live music, an art market, food vendors, and family activities in the plaza outside El Centro de la Raza, 2524 16th Ave. S in Seattle on August 10, 10 am to 4 pm.

    *Bike ride from Snoqualmie Pass (80 miles) or North Bend (50 miles) on the Summit to Sound, with an optional shuttle bus from Seacrest Park. Includes a beer and a food ticket for the end-of-ride party at Seacrest Park on August 10.

    *Celebrate Woodinville Festival is August 10 with a pancake breakfast at the fire station, an 11 a.m. parade on 175th Street, a farmer’s market, an arts & crafts fair, a wine & beer garden, food vendors, and kids’ activities. Some events are at Wilmot Gateway Park, 17301 131st Ave. NE in Woodinville.

    *Glass Fest Northwest will have live glass-making demonstrations, food vendors, music, and hands-on activities in the plaza plus free admission to the Museum of Glass, 1801 Dock St. in Tacoma on August 10, from 10 am to 5 pm.

    *Enjoy native dancing, drumming, singing, fashion, bread, and crafts for sale at In the Spirit Northwest Native Festival at three Tacoma museums, which have free admission all day (Washington State History Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and Museum of Glass), on August 10 from 10 am to 5 pm.

    *The Festival at Mount Si will have a small arts and crafts fair with food booths, a family zone, a beer garden, live music, and contests at Si View Park, 400 SE Orchard Drive in North Bend on August 10 and 11. Music crawl downtown on Friday at 6 pm, a 5K on the trail on Saturday at 7 am, a parade downtown on Saturday at 10:15 am, and fireworks at Torguson Park on Saturday at 10 pm.

    *The Brigade Encampment recreates the bustle and excitement when fur traders first visited Tacoma on August 10 - 11 from 11 am to 5 pm, with demonstrations, puppet shows, games, and live music at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, 5519 Five Mile Drive in Tacoma. Children age 3 and younger are free.

    *Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival on Whidbey Island will have 145 artists selling handmade arts and crafts, live entertainment, and children’s activities on the streets surrounding Coupeville Recreation Hall, 901 NW Alexander St. in Coupeville. Free ferry shuttle bus - check schedules online. The event is August 10-11.

    *August 10-18 is the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire in Snohomish. You can mingle with medieval knights, jesters, and peasants which has entertainment, craft & food vendors, plus alehouses for adults at Meadow Wood Equestrian Center, 18601 Sky Meadows Lane in Snohomish. No pets. The eventt is 10 am to 7 pm.

    *The Capitol Hill Garage Sale will have dozens of neighborhood sales, plus 100 sellers in Cal Anderson Park, 1635 11th Ave. in Seattle on August 11 from 10 am to 3 pm.

    *Othello Park International Festival is a family-friendly celebration with live music, dancers, art, games, and food vendors at Othello Park, 4351 S Othello St. in Seattle on August 11 from noon to 6 pm.
