MPD searching for suspect involved in apartment shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are on the lookout for a suspect they say was responsible for a shooting at a Fox Meadows apartment complex.

On June 23 at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 5300 block of Meadowlake Drive at the Residence at Lakeview.

A man wearing a black sweatshirt discharged a weapon inside the complex at two other males who were walking through the complex.

A victim was struck by gunfire while inside their apartment and two apartment units were struck.

The victim was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

The suspect was a Black man wearing a black t-shirt, shorts and white shoes. He was carrying a backpack and was armed with a long gun.

Police say that no arrests have been made, but this is an ongoing investigation.
