Antigo’s Mason Gray selected to American Legion All-Star Game
The Antigo American Legion Post 3 baseball team will be represented at the Wisconsin American Legion All-Star Game, set for August 11th at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Outfielder and pitcher Mason Gray has been selected, he will be part of the Stars team, which will face off with the Stripes squad. MADISON, Wis. – Brookfield Central and Brookfield Academy captured State Team Boys Tennis Championships Saturday at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the campus of UW-Madison. The top-seeded Lancers (25-2) won team championship with a 4-3 win over second-seeded Marquette (22-3) in the Division 1 championship match. Brookfield Central won all four singles matches. Surya Arvind won at #1 singles; Andrey Semin was victorious at #2 singles; Michael Li was the winner at #3 singles; and Noah Weitzer won his match at the #4 position.
Woodchucks Drop Decision to Chinooks
Mequon, WI – The Woodchucks fall in game one of the away series to the Chinooks, 7-9. It is just their sixth loss of the season. The Chucks got to work early, as they scored two runs in the top of the first. Drew Berkland (Minnesota) reached base on a single, bringing Max Galvin (Miami) to the plate. Galvin launched one to right field to take the lead 2-0, tying with Drew Berkland for four home runs on the season.
