Bow Seniors Fall to North Platte
The Broken Bow American Legion Seniors baseball team fell to North Platte Monday evening at Paul Brown Field. North Platte jumped out quickly scoring six runs in the first inning. Broken Bow fought back with five unanswered runs to make the score 6-5 after five innings. North Platte collected two big insurance runs in the top of the 7th and held on to win by a final of 8-5. Kearney pool damaged in midst of heat wave, police search for vandal
Kearney, Neb. (KSNB) - A public pool is temporarily closed in order to fix damages and Kearney police are searching for who is responsible. The Harmon Pool fell victim to a vandalization Friday night, leaving members of the community out to dry in the summer heat. The pool’s pipes and other mechanical equipment were damaged in the incident, leading the pool to be drained in attempt to open it back up for the remainder of the season, according to Kearney Recreations Services Director Scott Hayden.
