The Miami Dolphins went to free agency to get Tua Tagovailoa some help during training camp.

And the guy they found spent his first day with the team apologizing to the star quarterback.

Willie Snead IV, signed earlier this week by the Dolphins, had an infamous, viral tweet criticizing Tagovailoa during Miami’s playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs this year.

Inevitably asked about it upon arrival his in Miami, Snead made it clear that the situation had been addressed.

“I wanted the Dolphins to get past the Chiefs,” Snead said, according to Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I was emotional about it and I tweeted something I probably shouldn’t have and I regret it today. But me and Tua talked last night…we put that behind us.”

Snead even elaborated that he’s from West Palm Beach, which might explain some of the public criticism of his new quarterback.

Tagovailoa and Snead appeared to have this behind them well before the wideout made the media rounds Thursday—he and Tagovailoa have a strong rapport going in practice already.
