CRANE COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a crash that left a Midland man dead early Saturday morning.

According to a crash report, around 12:30 a.m. on June 22, troopers responded to the area of US 385 and Tarpley Road in Crane County to investigate a two-vehicle crash. Investigators said Jose Diaz-Puig, 41, of Odessa, was driving a semi-truck when he failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with a Chrysler Town and Country, driven by 40-year-old Christopher Allen Robles, of Midland.

Troopers said Robles was killed by injuries sustained in that crash; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Diaz-Puig was not injured and the investigation into the crash is on-going.
