Two injured in Sunday shooting in Montgomery park day after Stop the Violence rally
Two men suffered what authorities describe as non-life threatening injuries in a Sunday afternoon shooting at a Montgomery park. At about 4:30 p.m., police and fire medics went to the 5800 block of Hyde Park Drive on a report of a person shot, said Montgomery Police Department Capt. Raymond Carson. A Stop the Violence walk was held Saturday morning at Hyde Park in Montgomery. More than 100 concerned residents walked to bring awareness to the recent rash of gun violence and escalating crime in the city.
