Milford Man Airflown to Worcester Hospital Following Early Morning Stabbing; Police Investigation Underway
A violent early morning incident in Milford has left one man with severe injuries following a stabbing yesterday. According to WHDH, at around 4 a.m., Milford police were dispatched to Purchase Street after receiving numerous distress calls. The emergency personnel located the man on the ground, notably bleeding from an apparent laceration.

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Police are releasing very little information about an incident that closed Purchase Street near Mechanic for several hours Monday morning. They say several calls came into 911 around 4am about a man on the ground bleeding from a laceration. The man had to be flown to UMass Memorial Hospital where he is said to be in stable but serious condition. Milford and State Police Detectives are investigating but have not given any information as to how the man was hurt or if they are looking for any suspects.

Franklin Town Council to Discuss Tax Override
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The idea of a tax override is reportedly still being kicked around in Franklin. The Town Council has an Override Discussion and Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Adjustment discussion on the agenda when they meet Wednesday night. Last month Franklin voters said no to tax override to help pay for some school district expenses and instead the Town Council moved some money to the schools from some town expenses. According to the Franklin Observer, supporters of an override want to get it on the ballot again in November.

Distracted Driving Suspected in Hopkinton Head-On Crash
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Distracted driving is said to be the possible cause of a head-on crash in Hopkinton Sunday afternoon. Two people from Rhode Island are in a hospital following the wreck in which a Milford man was driving southbound on Cedar Street near Legacy Farms North when police allege, he got distracted, swerved and overcorrected, and then went into the northbound lane and slammed into the other car. The Daily News reports the Milford man has only minor injuries and so far, no charges have been filed against him.

AIC Criminal Justice Program Receives Quinn Bill Approval
Springfield - American International College (AIC) announces that its Master of Science in Criminal Justice has been approved under the “Guidelines for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Academic Programs” by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education (BHE).
