Massachusetts certifies four ballot questions on standardized testing, state legislature audits, transportation network drivers, and psychedelic substances
Secretary of State William Galvin (D) announced that four of the five initiatives that submitted verified signatures on July 3 had qualified for the ballot. The initiatives address standardized testing for graduate high school; auditing the state legislature; unionizing and collective bargaining for transportation network drivers; and providing regulated access to certain psychedelic substances.
Arrest Warrant Issued for Brockton Man in Bellingham Teen’s Shooting
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Brockton man wanted in the shooting death of a Bellingham teen at a huge house party in Northborough in May. 16-year-old Ygor Correira died as shots rang out at the massive party. The Worcester DA says they are looking for Erik Dos Santos as the suspected shooter although three others are also facing gun charges. Police said at the time there were around 300 people at the party at a rented house on Howard Street and they arrived at what they called a “chaotic scene.”
