The Milwaukee Bucks need a spark. After falling short once again last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo and co. are looking for ways to beef up their team for the 2024-25 season. One of the players they're looking at is a former MVP candidate with something to prove: Isaiah Thomas.

After Thomas announced his intention of playing in the NBA, Shams Charania reported that the Bucks worked out the ex-Boston Celtics star in Las Vegas. It's an intriguing move for Milwaukee as they look to add more depth at the guard position for next year.

Other participants in the Bucks' workout are veterans Justise Winslow, Hamidou Diallo, Will Barton and Jaylen Nowell, per Bleacher Report.

Last season, Thomas played in the G League for the Salt Lake City Stars. In four games, the former Boston Celtics star averaged 32 points per game on a ridiculously efficient 44% shooting from three. That performance earned him a call-up to the Phoenix Suns.

Unfortunately, Thomas saw little playing time in Phoenix. Should Thomas sign with the Bucks, he will also be a depth piece behind Damian Lillard, Pat Connaughton, and newly acquired guards Gary Trent Jr and Delon Wright.

Still, Thomas would be a good insurance policy for the Bucks should one of their players get injured in the regular season. For Thomas, it's a chance to prove that he's still a valuable contributor to a championship team.
