    Former baseball player Prince Fielder.

The Milwaukee Brewers have added another "fielder" to their organization.

Jadyn Fielder is not only the son of former longtime Brewer and six-time All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder, but the grandson of former three-time All-Star first baseman Cecil Fielder.

Cecil was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the fourth round of the 1982 MLB Draft but was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in February 1983. The Los Angeles native made his big league debut with the Blue Jays in July 1985 and played 220 games over four seasons north of the border.

After spending the 1989 campaign with the Hanshin Tigers of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) league, Cecil signed with the Detroit Tigers in January 1990 and spent the next six-plus seasons in the Motor City.

He was one of the league's best power hitters and run producers during his stay in Detroit. Cecil led MLB in home runs in 1990 (51) and tied Jose Canseco for the league lead in homers in 1991 (44), while also leading the majors in RBI in 1990 (132), 1991 (133) and 1992 (124).

His first year with the Tigers was his best, as he also led MLB in slugging percentage (.592) and the AL in total bases (339). Cecil was an All-Star in 1990, 1991 and 1993, won Silver Slugger Awards in his first two years in Detroit and was the AL MVP runner-up in both of those seasons as well.

He was traded to the New York Yankees in July 1996 and won his only World Series title that fall. He finished his career with one more year in the Bronx, followed by splitting the 1998 campaign between the then-Anaheim Angels and Cleveland then-Indians.

After spending much of his childhood with his father in MLB clubhouses, Prince was selected seventh overall by Milwaukee in 2002. The power-hitting lefty made his big league debut in June 2005, seven years after Cecil played his last MLB game.

Prince's career took off quicker than Cecil's, as he made his first All-Star team at 23 years old in 2007, won his first of three Silver Slugger Awards that year and was third in the NL MVP voting. Prince led the NL in home runs in 2007 with 50, making he and Cecil the only father-son duo to each hit that many in a season.

The younger Fielder spent the first seven years of his career with the Brewers, tying for the MLB lead in RBI in 2009 (141) before playing two seasons with the Tigers and three with the Texas Rangers. Both Cecil and Prince hit 319 home runs in their career, so Jadyn has a lot to live up to.
