It looks like Todd Chrisley was supporting his daughter, Savannah Chrisley , during her recent appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

The former reality star’s attorney, Jay Surgent, told TMZ that Todd watched Savannah’s speech from FPC Pensacola, where he is currently completing a 10-year sentence for tax evasion and bank fraud.

Surgent claimed Chrisley was “pretty damn impressed” by her speech, noting that she “spoke well and was focused.” The attorney said that Todd and Savannah both liked the Republican platform’s approach to criminal justice reform.

Savannah used her RNC speech to call out the “rogue prosecutors” who handled her parents’ case. She claimed her family was “persecuted” due to their “public profile and conservative beliefs.”

“They accused my parents of fraud when really we were defrauded by a dishonest business partner who, and let’s not forget, the government gave full immunity to,” Savannah said at the time. “We suffered warrantless rage and harassment. One of the officials even had my father’s face on a dart board in his office.”

She added that her family was allegedly called “the Trumps of the South.”

Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion in 2022, initially receiving 12 and seven years in prison, respectively. Todd’s sentence has since been reduced to 10 years, while Julie’s sentencing was recently vacated due to a miscalculation, which means she will soon be resentenced.

Julie is currently serving time in Federal Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky.

Savannah has become an advocate for her parents while they’ve been completing their time. She has publicly criticized the prison system and accused them of “planting” drugs on her father and blocking her parents from speaking to each other.

She recently predicted that her mother may suffer from PTSD after she gets released from prison.

“When it comes to mom coming home, I know a lot of the people are going to come out of the woodworks, but I have to let her kind of process things,” she said. “There’s going to be a lot of things when she comes home that is not gonna be easy. And the PTSD that these men and women suffer from being in prison is horrendous.”

Todd is also having a tough time in prison. He reportedly fears that he could face retaliation for complaining about the prison conditions. He was also recently ordered to pay $755,000 to a Georgia Department of Revenue investigator who accused him of defamation.
