    Man arrested following Kansas Highway Patrol-involved shooting

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation secured an arrest warrant for a 46-year-old man from Minneapolis who had allegedly fired multiple rounds in a public park in Minneapolis and was shot by KHP troopers in June.

    According to the KBI, the man was arrested by Wichita Police Department officers as he was released from a local hospital late Wednesday morning.

    He was arrested on an Ottawa County warrant on suspicion of attempted capital murder and attempted second-degree murder and taken to the Mitchell County Jail. His first appearance will be on July 26.

    KSN News does not identify suspects unless charges are filed in their case.
