One of the best players in the country, 4-star cornerback Shamari Earls is coming up on a final decision. The 6-foot-1 cornerback from Thomas Dale (Va.) wrapped up his visit schedule in June. Now he turns his attention to a critical recruiting decision. Earls took two official visits in June, to Georgia and to Virginia. He also took an unofficial visit to Michigan who requires recruits to take unofficials before they take official visits, so he still has that Michigan official in his back pocket. South Carolina was on his official visit schedule at the beginning of the month, but the Gamecocks shifted some things around so he could still take that official later too.

Aldi first came to the US in 1976 when they opened a store in Iowa. The grocer, whose roots reach back to Essen, Germany, has since grown to nearly 2400 markets here in the states.

Move to SEC creates 'model for stability' financially for Oklahoma

I recently had a conversation with a source that centered primarily around where the staff believes they will be better and where there could be a drop-off from last season. The two positions they feel are most improved are linebacker and the EDGE positions. Last season, Debo Williams and Stone Blanton logged the bulk of the linebacker snaps and were often forced to play while more fatigued than normal, which led to breakdowns or plays where one of them was a step or two slow, which can make all the difference in a given play. This season, the Gamecocks will have significantly more depth and more talent and athleticism in the linebacker group with the portal additions of Bangally Kamara (Pitt) and Demetrius Knight (Charlotte) and the recruiting additions of Wendell Gregory and Fred Johnson. Jaron Willis has also come a long way since the beginning of last season. The starters are projected to be Williams and Bam Martin-Scott. Williams was an All-SEC performer last season, and Martin-Scott was one of the primary reasons the defense improved in the final four games of the year. If the staff finds a way to get anything out of Mohamed Kaba, who is coming off his third torn ACL of his career, it would be considered a bonus.
