The football world was shaken this weekend following the devastating news of Khyree Jackson ’s sudden death.

Jackson, who was drafted out of Oregon by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of this past April's NFL Draft, passed away at the age of 24 following a fatal car accident on Saturday.

Before transferring to Oregon, Jackson played at Alabama with fellow NFL rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold. And shortly after the heartbreaking news, Arnold posted an emotional video remembering Jackson to his personal X/Twitter account.

The video showed Jackson embracing Arnold while celebrating a big-time play together at Alabama.

"The journey it took for you to get to where you was at and you really accomplished your goals of making it to the NFL, you really looked out for me. A true brother and all you wanted to do was see me succeed and vice versa always love slim," Arnold wrote.

Arnold also posted a photo of them celebrating during another game together.

"You hurt me with this one dude," Arnold wrote above the photo.

Jackson was just one of three people killed in the Saturday morning crash. His former high school football teammates Anthony Lytton Jr. and Isaiah Hazel, also passed away, according to Maryland Police .

Hazel and Jackson were pronounced deceased on the scene while Lytton was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center where he later died.

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell also wrote on X/Twitter that he was "crushed" and "heartbroken" over Jackson's tragic death.

"Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and our team," O'Connell said in a statement. "His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates to him. In our short time together, it was evident Khyree was going to develop into a tremendous football player, but what was more impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him."
