    Man killed in north Minneapolis identified as 46-year-old

    The victim of Friday's homicide in Minneapolis has been identified as 46-year-old TaVaughn LaMarr Combs.

    Minneapolis PD were called at approximately 7:40 a.m. and found Combs dead at the scene, at the 2100 block of Thomas Ave North. He was discovered five hours after a ShotSpotter had activated in the area of 21st Ave North and Uptown Ave North.

    The Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined his cause of death to be a gunshot wound to his torso.

    There have been no arrests in his killing.

    His Facebook profile listed him as a digital creator in the Twin Cities, and he was lovingly known as "Spunky." Many friends and family posted on Facebook to mourn his death.
