My recent visit to Jack Stack Barbecue - Lee's Summit was a delightful culinary journey. I stumbled upon this gem on Google after a failed attempt to secure a reservation at The Bronte Boathouse. The menu was a smorgasbord of mouth-watering options. I indulged in the coconut shrimp, lobster roll, Le Royal (a seafood trio of oysters, shrimp, and scallops), BBQ ribs, escargot, lump crab cake, and calamari. To top it all off, I treated myself to not one, but three desserts - a tangy lemon tart, a moist carrot cake, and the Vesuvious.

The food was nothing short of fantastic. The coleslaw was a standout, and the Big Pig was a savory delight. The onion rings were a crispy, golden treat. The baked beans were some of the best I've ever had, and the lamb ribs were succulent and flavorful. The pic 3 combo platter was a meat lover's dream, offering a choice of beef, lamb, and pork baby back ribs with a side of potato salad. The large fried mushrooms were an excellent starter.

The staff was friendly and attentive, even on a busy Friday night. They were more than happy to answer questions and engage in a bit of banter. If you're in town and craving barbecue, Jack Stack is the place to be. It's a Kansas City icon for a reason - great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
