Mobile run/walk event scheduled to promote healthy lifestyle

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Melton Health and Faith Corporation invited the community to their annual fall run/walk event to promote a healthy lifestyle.

According to a press release, the 9th annual Healthy Lifestyle 5K Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Charity Event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Mardi Gras Park.

LOCATION:

Organizers said the event is for the entire family and includes more than just the run/walk.

The event will feature live entertainment, speakers to educate the community on how to live a healthy lifestyle, fitness experts, a health fair, blood pressure and BMI check, a blood drive, mammo screening, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.
