    Police investigating Monroe shooting that left man in critical condition: PD

    MONROE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured, according to the Monroe Police Department.

    Around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, officers responded to the 500 block of Maurice Street for reports of a shooting.

    CMPD confirms only one shooting in northeast Charlotte Tuesday night

    When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials say he was taken to a local hospital where he is still in critical condition.

    Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and are still looking for suspects. Anyone with information should call the Monroe Police Department at 704-282-4700 or Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.
