The first caution on lap 4 spelled trouble for title hopeful Trevor Jaques while Pearce maintained the lead on the restart over Whittemore and Jamie Davis as title hopefuls Ryan Foster, Dean Switser and Josh Lovely began to breathe down their backs! Through it all, Terry Pearce would earn his second win of the season in style, dominating the Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac trophy dash with Paige Whittemore and Jamie Davis joining him in victory lane.

A worker died Aug. 5 when the crane he was operating toppled at a wind farm construction site in remote Natrona County, state and local officials say. The victim, John William Hoffpauir, Jr., 55, of Houma, Louisiana, was working as a crane operator at the Cedar Springs wind energy construction site north of Casper and Glenrock under the control of Blattner Energy at the time of the accident.
