    Royals girls take third a Maple Lake

    The Royalton Royals travel to a invitational meet in Maple Lake Thursday, April 22. The girls placed third with 102 team points and boys team finished fifth (50).

    The Royals’ Aurora Walberg won the 100 meter race with a time of 13.45 She also won the 200 meter race (26.73) and the high jump (5-03.00). .

    The top performers for the boys include Eli Pyyck taking first in the 800 meter run (2:12.10), followed by Chaz Psyck in second (2:12.20) .

    Patriots have multiple first place finishers at Maple Lake Lions Invite

    The Upsala/Swanville Patriots boys and girls track and field team made top five at the Maple Lake Lions invitational meet Monday, April 22. The boys took third (106) and the girls finished fourth (89).

    Quinn Guthrie broke a 2016 team record in the 3,200 meter race, coming in at 10:25.30. Genevieve Mrozek led with a first place finish in the discus throw (90-10).

    Pioneers do well at another home meet

    The Pioneers had another good home meet Tuesday, April 23, with both the boys and girls finishing second (boys scored 76 and the girls scored 84).

    The Pioneers’ first place finishers for the girls include Autumn Jones in the 100 meter hurdles (17.47), Evalie Gall in the 300 meter hurdles (52.93) and Beverlt Rentz in the shot put (30-09.00).

    Among the Pierz first place finisher Kaleb Poser in the 110 meter hurdles (17.47), and Wyatt Betsinger in the 3,200 meter run (11:01.30).
