    Golf Recaps May 2-7

    Below are summaries of local golf meets between May 2 and May 7, compiled by Sports Editor Nick Tabatt.

    Flyers boys take sixth at Deacon’s Lodge and third in Milaca

    The Little Falls Flyers boys golf team took sixth at Deacon’s Lodge in Breezy Point Tuesday, May 7. Ryan Oothoudt led the team, tying for seventh place and shooting a 76. Luke Avery followed ninth with a 77.

    Other Flyers were Peyton Carr finishing 24th place (84). Dawson Carr and Cullen Moe tied for 40th (93) and Nolan Kray in 46th (95).

    The Flyers also took third at a meet in Albany Monday, May 6. Oothoudt took 10th place with a score of 80. Avery finished in 11th with 81. Peyton Carr took 18th (85), Dawson Carr in 34th (96) and Kray in 40th (96).

    Flyers girls compete in wet conditions at Milaca

    The Little Falls Flyers girls golfers competed in wet conditions during the meet in Milaca Thursday, May 2. Imagine Hines took ninth place, shooting a 92. Olivia Dempsey finished 25th with 105.

    Pioneers boys tied for seventh in Albany

    The Pierz Pioneers boys golf team competed in Albany Thursday, May 2, where they tied for seventh place with Mora. Cekalla 16th place (84), followed by Joey Stuckmayer in 27th (89). Prokott finished 35th (93), along with Knutson in 45th (99), Leidenfrost in 46th (100) and Beau Virnig finishing 48th (101).

    The placedPioneers seventh at the meet Breezy Point Tuesday, May 7. Nathan Cekalla led the team, taking 13th as an individual, scoring 80. Ty Liedenfrost finished in 17 with an 82. Jack Prokott took 31st (87), Caden Knutson in 36th (88), beau Virnig in 48th (99) and Braden LeBlanc in 60th (101)

    Pioneers girls take third in Milaca

    The Pierz Pioneers girls Golf team took third at the conference meet in Milaca Thursday, May 2. Whitney Leblanc tied for sixth place with a 87. Macey Leblanc came in 10th (94) followed by Melany Virnig in 11th (95). Kari LeBlanc finished in 16th (99). Trista LBlanc came in at 21st (101)

    The Pioneers girls also took third Monday, May 6, led by Whitney Leblanc who tied for seventh with a 92. Kari LeBlanc came in 10th place with a 94 and Macey LeBlanc finished in 15th with 101. Virnig and Joleen Weyer tied for 17th place (105). Emily Boser placed 22 (109), followed by Trista LeBlanc in 24th (110).

    Royals girls in Kimball

    The Royalton Royals had two varsity competitors competing at a nine-hole meet in Kimball Thursday May 2. Hannah Krueger shot a 66 in the front nine, with a stroke average of 62 in the season. Myrrissa Sobiech finished the meet with a 65, averaging 66.

    Royals Boys at Koronis Hills

    The Royalton Royals boys golf team might have been down on personal at Koronis Hills in Paynesville Tuesday, May 7, but still put up good numbers. The Royals ended the meet with an overall score of 199. Matthew Hollenbeck led with a 49. Ben Boyd, Nate Spencer amd Wyatt Plumski all tied at 50. Nick Block finished with a 53.
