County Fair offers food, rides, animals, fun
CARO — Madelyn Bennett came to show her lambs this week at the Tuscola County Fair. Sheyla Alvarez came to sell french fries. Thousands of others, however, are heading to Caro to just have fun. The Tuscola County Fair, a tradition for more than 140 years, continues from today through Saturday night.
Sebewaing brothers are ‘vintage’ in win
MAYVILLE — Sebewaing brothers Matt Rocha and Mark Rocha led the Mighty River Hogs of Midland to a 9-3 win over Mayville State Bank in a vintage baseball game on July 18. The contest, waged at Mayville’s Ohmer Park before about 100 fans during the Mayville Sunflower Festival, was played under 1860s “base ball” rules – which meant that a fielder could register an out by catching any batted ball after one hop.

Thomas Smith and London Strong Foundations team up to save lives
GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Runners are took to the starting line at Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc Township for the London Strong 5K Run/Walk. City of Grand Blanc requesting new parks millage
GRAND BLANC, Mich. (WJRT) - The Grand Blanc City Council approved a ballot question Thursday for voters to consider a millage that would provide additional funding for parks.
