JAMAICA — On July 7, Vermont State Police arrested a Jamaica woman for allegedly violating multiple conditions of her release. Troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to a disturbance report at a residence on Vermont Route 100 in Jamaica at approximately 6:35 p.m. Upon arrival, they determined that Heidi Dlubac, 53, had breached several conditions of her release.

Rutland remembers fallen police officer
Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of Rutland City Police Officer Jessica Ebbighausen’s death. She was 19 years old when she was killed in the line of duty by a burglary suspect who crashed into her cruiser while she pursued him. Rutland police officers and community members honored Ebbighausen with a candlelight vigil Sunday night, remembering her service, dedication and sacrifice to her city. Her fellow officers, friends and neighbors gathered at the Rutland City Police Department to share words of remembrance and leave flowers in her memory.
