HENRY COUNTY, Ind. — A driver for the Indiana Department of Transportation sustained life-threatening injuries after her dump truck left the roadway and went rolling.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Department said the crash occurred Tuesday near County Road 975 West and State Road 38.

INDOT crews were reportedly doing maintenance work in the area when the INDOT dump truck left the roadway and rolled over. The driver, a 51-year-old woman from Muncie, was ejected from the dump truck and suffered life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s department said.

A LifeLine helicopter was called to the scene and the INDOT worker was flown to an Indianapolis hospital.

The sheriff’s department said the cause of the crash is still being determined.
