Muskogee girl found safe after being reported missing

UPDATE (8/1/24 : 4:58 p.m.) — A 12-year-old girl has been found safe after being reported missing on Thursday, according to Muskogee Police.

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Muskogee Police are searching for 12-year-old Janiyah Haywood who last seen near the 600 block of North J Street.

Police said she ran away from home at around 11 a.m. on Thursday and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

They do not know if she left with anyone and there is an active police search in the area where she was last seen.

She is 4-feet tall, 83 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing purple shorts, a pink shirt and sparkly shoes.
