On July 15th, 2024, at 10:53 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office entered Coos County on Hwy 42 at mile marker 45 in active pursuit of a Toyota Camry. TENMILE MAN JAILED AFTER PURSUIT INCIDENT MONDAY NIGHT
A Tenmile man was jailed after a pursuit incident late Monday night. A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:40 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a sedan for violations in the 3000 block Strickland Canyon Road. The driver, 22-year-old Jered Thompson, proceeded west onto Highway 42 and continued with speeds between 60 and 100 miles per hour clear into Coos County before being spiked near Bridge by a Coos County deputy.
