LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The just completed baseball season was a very good one all the way around for the Rockford Rivets in the Northwoods League.

Not only did the Rivets make the playoffs, but they also set a franchise season attendance record. They drew 43,684 fans during the regular season and during the team’s two home playoff games. That total is a 14% increase over the Rivets’ total from last year.

Overall, the Rivets finished 12th in the Northwoods League in attendance. The Northwoods League as a whole shattered attendance records. 1,339,157 fans attended the league’s baseball games. The Madison Mallards drew the largest attendance of more than 217,000 fans this year.
