Police investigating human remains found at Tennessee Titans stadium property

Metro Nashville police officers are handling the discovery of a body on the Nissan Stadium property.

The scene consists of a dead individual found inside a tent near Lot M. A spokesperson with the Metro Nashville Police Department clarified to NewsChannel 5 that the body wasn't wrapped in a tarp, but there was a tarp covering found near the body. No foul play is suspected, police said.

Police said the person who died was an unhoused man who hadn't been seen for a couple of days. Those who knew him were attempting to locate him.

Right now, the new Tennessee Titans stadium is under construction.
