Tennessee Titans DL Jeffery Simmons falls in NFL Top 100 Players list

Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons has once again made the NFL Top 100 Players list ahead of the 2024 campaign, but he's in a lower spot than last year.

Per Christian Gonzales of NFL.com , Simmons comes in at No. 73 on the list, which is voted on by players around the league. However, that's 15 spots lower than where he was last year when he was No. 58, and it marks the second-straight year that Simmons has fallen on the list.

"Simmons had a challenging year, as he struggled with knee injuries," Gonzales wrote. "But the Titans defensive lineman disrupted offenses in the 12 games he played, recording 44 tackles, 11 QB hits, 10 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. Though Tennessee struggled to a 6-11 season, Simmons, a two-time Pro Bowler, remains regarded as one of the top interior defensive linemen in the league."

Simmons was on pace to break his personal-best sacks mark of 8.5 after he tallied 4.5 over the first seven games. However, as Gonzales noted, he was playing banged-up for much of the campaign and tallied just one the rest of the way before his season was cut short after 12 games.

There's no question Simmons remains an elite player at his position, but will he have enough help around him in 2024?

The Titans lost Denico Autry and did not adequately replace him. They are hoping T'Vondre Sweat and Sebastian Joseph-Day can help take pressure off. Either way, Simmons remains a force to be reckoned with every Sunday.
